As with all my gear and equipment, sometimes comfort takes a back seat to weight, but not with the Frontpoint Jacket. Although Feathered Friends classifies this jacket as "midweight", the designation certainly refers to actual weight, not performance. At 30 ounces the Front Point jacket is incredibly light and certainly stuffs well, but because of the high quality 850+ down lofts up quickly to near Michelin Man stature. This jacket has a mid-length cut, which I prefer when using a climbing harness. I also order it in eVent Fabric , of course. If I need something warmer, I step up to a full blown down suit.
